- Permanent Full-Time Position
- Remuneration: $60,000 base + superannuation
We are seeking an Accounts Officer for our client who will be working within a team of Accounts Officers to deliver, develop, implement and enforce best accounting practices that promote a positive image of compliance to clients, employees and other external stakeholders. This position reports to the General Manager and will perform the below duties but are not limited to:
Accounting
- Responsible PAYG Statements, Business Activity Statements (BAS) & Superannuation payments & other compliance obligations
- MYOB Operation and Management, General Bookkeeping & Banking
Accounts Receivable
- Preparation of invoices, transactions, and proposals
- NDIS & Brokerage Accounts Portal
Accounts Payable & Reporting
- General payroll processing
- Budgeting and financial forecast preparation
- Subcontractor remittance, acquisition and supply funding
Compliance
- Working closely with the HR Department in relation to employee pay level and category
- Assist with policy development for working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities and ISO 9001:2008 Quality System Management Requirements
- Identify gaps in current systems and procedures
- Special projects and considerations
In order to be considered for this role, you will have the following key attributes, skills, and strengths:
- At least 2-3 years of general accounting experience or exposure to the above areas
- Experience using MYOB or any equivalent software
- Good knowledge of accounting and finance standards and principles
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work well within individual and team setting
- Experience within the disability/aged care sector will be a huge plus
